John Barbour was the oldest artist in the 1964 California Hard-Edge Painting exhibition at the Newport Beach Pavilion. As a photographer, his emphasis on geometric reduction and edges, evidenced in these two photographs, exhibits the characteristics of the hard-edge aesthetic. Aside from being in the exhibition California Hard-Edge Painting, little is known about Barbour.
