John Barbour was the oldest artist in the 1964 California Hard-Edge Painting exhibition at the Newport Beach Pavilion. As a photographer, his emphasis on geometric reduction and edges, evidenced in these two photographs, exhibits the characteristics of the hard-edge aesthetic. Aside from being in the exhibition California Hard-Edge Painting, little is known about Barbour.



John Barbour fue el artista de más edad de la exposición California Hard-Edge Painting, celebrada en 1964 en el pabellón de Newport Beach. Como fotógrafo, su énfasis en la reducción geométrica y los bordes, evidenciado en estas dos fotografías, exhibe las características de la estética del borde sólido.
