Catlin’s earlier works are images drawn on canvas or linen, a practice inspired by her time in Mali. Her art specifically works to juxtapose the natural, microscopic and imaginative life of living organisms in the changing world. Though concerned for the earth’s changing environment, Catlin chooses not to focus on the negative but rather on her trust in adaptation and change.
