Morgan’s most popular body of work are her photographs of dancers. After attending a performance of the Martha Graham Dance Company in 1935, Morgan became fascinated by the power of dance to communicate social and political problems. She then began an extensive series of photographing dancers that was exhibited across the United States. Though she stopped working with dancers in later years, Morgan’s photography always focused on communicating social and environmental issues.
