Deborah Barrett is known for her use of deconstructed elements and symbolic tokens in her works. We see this in Untitled with the design of the woman’s arm, which is unique in its material and design when compared to the rest of the work. The court-jester-like hat and the disconnected right hand of the woman stand as enigmatic symbols.
