Ralph Bacerra was born in Garden Grove, California in 1938. He attended the Chouinard Art Institute in Los Angeles. He taught at the Otis Art Institute and the Chouinard Art Institute until 1996. After retiring, he continued to travel and work in his studio at Eagle Rock, California. Bacerra’s artwork has been exhibited at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the DeYoung Museum, and the Smithsonian Institute. He died in Los Angeles, California in 2008.
