Eunice Navasie Fawn was born in Sichomovi on First Mesa, in what today is Arizona. She is the Matriarch of the Navasie pottery family. Her children include the noted potters Dawn Navasie, Dolly “White Swann” Joe, “Fawn Navasie, and Gregory Navasie. She was a practicing potter for over fifty years and received numerous awards and recognition from the Gallup InterTribal Ceremonials and the Santa Fe Indian Market. Navasie and her family were best known for their work in whitewareand revitalization of traditional Hopi design motifs.
