Fredrick R. Archer

American, (1889–1963)


Fredrick R. Archer was born in Atlanta, Georgia in 1889. He started his career as an aerial photographer After returning from war, he started to take portraits for Hollywood stars. Archer has worked for Universal Pictures, Warner Brothers, and Paramount Pictures. He also created the photography department at the Art Center School and started his own school, the Fred Archer School of Photography in Los Angeles. He died in Los Angeles, California in 1963.
