Leo Valledor

American, (1936–1989)


Leo Valledor was born in San Francisco, California in 1936. He attended the San Francisco Art Institute on scholarship for one year. In his late teens, Valledor had his first solo show at the Six Gallery in San Francisco. Shortly after he moved to New York where he continued showing his art in galleries. He returned to California in the early 1970s to become the Art Exhibition Director andteacher at Lone Mountain College in San Francisco. During this time he was also a guest teacher at the University of California, Berkeley. Valledor finished his career at the San Francisco Art Institute as a professor and died in 1989 at his home in California.
