American, (1919–2009)
Gaell Lindstrom was born in Salt Lake City, Utah in 1919. He studied art at the University of Utah and the California College of Arts and Crafts. He taught at the junior and senior high schools in Cedar City before becoming a professor of art at the College of Southern Utah. Lindstrom started teaching at Utah State University in 1957 and retired in 1984. After his retirement, Lindstrom continued to paint until his death in St. George, Utah in 2009.
