Ikuzi Teraki was born in Kyoto, Japan in 1952. He attended Kyoto Pottery School, Kyoto Design School in Higashiyama, Kyoto, and Banff School of Fine Art in Banff, Canada. He is a Co-Potter at Romulus Craft Studio with Jeanne Bisson, that they started at a small studio in Oakland, California in 1979. The studio has since moved to Washington, Vermont, where Teraki still resides.
