American, (1930–2021)
Manuel Neri was born in Sanger, California in 1930. He began as an engineer, but found a passion for ceramics. He attended the San Francisco Art Institute, and the California College of Arts and Crafts. Neri taught at the California School of Fine Arts, the University of California, Berkeley, and the University of California, Davis. He currently resides in Carrara, Italy working on sculptures in his studio.
