American, (1933–2018)
Dora De Larios was born in Los Angeles, California to Mexican immigrants in 1933. She attended the University of Southern California where she was trained by Vivika and Otto Heino, and later Susan Peterson. She graduated with her Bachelor of Arts in 1957. Upon graduation, De Larios, along with Ellice Johston and other women artists, founded an independent ceramics studio called Irving Place Studio in Los Angeles.
