American, (1930–2010)
Deborah Remington was born in Haddonfield, New Jersey in 1930. She attended the Sanfrancisco Art Institute and after graduation became a part of the Beat Movement. She was the one of the six painters and poets and the only women who founded the 6 Gallery in 1954. After travelling around the world, Remington moved to New York where she showed in many exhibitions. She died in 2010.
