American, b. 1948
Born in Great Falls, Montana, in 1948, Watson is an accomplished ceramist who graduated in 1973 with a BA degree from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. His notable semiabstract style can be seen not only in his ceramic works, but in his watercolors and oil paintings as well. Watson was a ceramics teacher at Timpview High School in Provo, Utah, until he retired in 2008. He has since moved back to Fairfield, Montana. He and his wife own a studio, Big Sky Pottery, where he teaches community classes and sells his work.
