John Baldessari

American, (1931–2020)

John Baldessari was born in National City, California in 1931. He attended the University of California, Berkeley, the University of California, Los Angeles, the Otis Art Institute, the Chouinard Art Institute and the San Diego State College. He taught at the University of California in San Diego, the University of California, Los Angeles and the California Institute of the Arts. His artwork is exhibited at the Art Institute of Chicago, the National Gallery of Art, and the Museum of Modern Art. He died in Los Angeles, California in 2020.
