Ant Farm was an avant-garde art collective, focusing onarchitecture, free speech, and reforming education. Chip Lord and Dough Michels founded the collective in San Francisco in 1968. The Ant Farm collective consisted of architectural performances that highlighted their values of freedom and unconventional art expression. The Ant Farm collective ended in 1978 due to a fire burning down their studio.
