Enrique Chagoya

Mexican/American, b. 1953


Enrique Chagoya was born in Mexico City, Mexico. He attended the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, the San Francisco Art Institute and the University of California, Berkeley. Chagoya started his career as a free-lance illustrator and graphic designer. After receiving his master's degree, he became a professor at Stanford University in the department of Art and Art History. His artwork is exhibited at the Honolulu Museum of Art, the Museum of Modern Art, and the Fine Arts Museum of San Francisco.
