American, (1922–1995)
Marjorie Cameron was born in Belle Plaine, Iowa in 1922. After graduating high school, she enlisted in the U.S. Navy as a cartographer. Her artwork became more well-known after her death. Her artwork has been exhibited at the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles, and the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris. She died in Los Angeles, California in 1995.
