American, b. 1937
John M. White was born in San Francisco, California in 1937. He attended the Patri School of Art Fundamentals in San Francisco and the Otis Art Institute in Los Angeles. He taught Performance Art at University of California, Irvine until 1994 and taught at the Curtis School in Los Angeles until 2004. White moved to Ventura, California where he has a painting studio and hosts youth art performances.
