American, (1911–1993)
Brett Weston was born in Los Angeles, California in 1911.While he did not have any formal education he assisted his father Edward Weston with many of his photographs. When his father got Parkinson’s disease, Brett helped his father print his images when he could no longer do so. His first solo exhibit was in the De Young Museum in 1932 and he often showed with Group f/64. Weston died in Kona, Hawaii in 1993 after suffering a stroke.
