American, (1917–2012)
Born in Layton Utah, Max D. Weaver attended Utah State studying art. After his serving in World War II, he taught at Logan High School until he was hired by the College of Southern Utah (now Southern Utah University) in 1957. In 1961, Weaver began teaching at Brigham Young University for twenty-one years. He also gained a Masters in Art from Utah State University.
