Edward Biberman

American, (1904–1986)

Edward Biberman was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1904. He attended the University of Pennsylvania, the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts and the Academie de la Grande Chaumiere in Paris, France. Biberman taught at the Art Center College of Design, the University of California, Los Angeles, the University of California, Irvine, the University of California, San Diego, and Loyola Marymount University. He has also written two books about his paintings. His artwork has been exhibited at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, the Whitney Museum of American Art, and the Museum of Modern Art. He died in Hollywood, California in 1986.
