American, (1945–2001)
Terry Schoonhoven was born in Freepoint, Illinois in 1945. He attended the University of Wisconsin, and the University of California, Los Angeles. Schoonhoven co-founded the Los Angeles Fine Arts Squad in 1969 and was commissioned to do murals for the Figueroa Street entrance of the Metro Center Station and the Cal State La Metrolink Station. He continued to paint large scale public murals until his death in Los Angeles, California in 2001.
