Jim Pomeroy

American, (1945–1992)

Jim Pomeroy wasborn in Reading, Pennsylvania in1945. He attended the University of Texas, Austin and the University of California, Berkeley. Pomeroy started his career as a preparator at museums and galleries before becoming a Professor in the Media Arts Department at the University of Texas, Arlington. He co-founded the New Langton Arts in San Francisco which was a not-for-profit organization focusing on contemporary art. He died in Arlington, Texas in 1992.
