Stephen Mopope

Member of the Kiowa tribe of American Indians. One of the Five Kiowas, a group of Native American artists who were brought to the University of Oklahoma in 1926, by a man named Oscar Jacobsen, where they were provided studio space and art materials. This helped these artist to become important figures in the modern art of the U.S.
